Vancouver Bike Show

Greetings Programs,

I just spent 26 hours working the Vancouver bike show and talk to a LOT of people. I was there to promote track cycling and the Burnaby Velodrome. While I was there I had a couple opportunities to ride the rollers and along with Jenn, Dumpy and Glenn. People were FASCINATED with the rollers. We even managed to get a couple of people that had never ridden the rollers to try them. That was fun although a bit nerve racking as I had my race wheels on my bike. You know, have to show the BLING at the bike show.

On Saturday www.Roadie.ca did a bit of a news article at he show and at about 3mins and 15 seconds they have a short clip and interview with yours truly.

That is the link for the article.

Well I am about to head to the gym so I must talk to you all later!

I am a BAD BLOGGER!

Hi everyone,

Sorry I have been so lax in my blogging. I seem to have found a way of monopolizing most of my time. Between full-time work and my new training schedule, I don't seem to have room for a whole heck of a lot. Regardless, here I am.

I feel that training is going exceptionally well considering there is very little known direction from the Canadian Cycling Association. There are rumours that there will be a selection camp about two weeks before the Pan Am Championships but no official word yet. Pan Ams are in May.

I have been getting some help from my friend who lives in Australia with my program and it seems to be paying off. Aside from gaining a lot of mass in the last month, I am getting much stronger. My Jeans don't fit loosely any more and my shoulders are getting bigger again...starting to look like a running back again.

I have been going pretty hard with 3 gym workouts a week and 3-4 times a week on the bike. I finally get a rest week this week. Although most people look at my week and would not agree that I am resting. It is a fine line.

The 6-day went well, Glenn and I had some good results in the Madison and even made some money. I managed to do every race except one and ended up paying for it the next week during the training camp...I was so FLAT!!! I don't remember when I was as slow as I was in the camp. But I am back and getting faster then ever. Watch out!

Peace out!

P.S. The kit that I am wearing in my picture is a PVL Forte kit from Sam Whittingham of Naked Bicycles. Hi link is on my site. Glenn and I need to wear these for the Madison.
